Original 1975 Yankee Stadium Renovation Photographs (Lot of 2)

These two 10 x 8 original black & white photographs of the renovation of Yankee Stadium were taken on 3/10/75 and 4/9/75, back stamped by the photographer. The photographs are of the new escalator tower #2 and the pre-cast panels above the upper deck. These two features were completely new additions to the “New” renovated Yankee Stadium. The upper deck panels were the most obvious change to Yankee Stadium after the renovation. The “Old” Stadium’s upper deck panels were draped by a magnificent white facade, made famous by Mickey Mantle when he hit the longest home run in Yankee Stadium history by hitting the right field upper deck facade. From 1923-1973 the New York Yankees called Yankee Stadium their home and during the renovation, 1974-75 the Yankees played “home” games at Shea Stadium in Queens, NY. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
