Original 1975 Yankee Stadium Renovation Photographs (Lot of 3)

These three 10 x 8 original black & white photographs of the renovation of Yankee Stadium were taken on 4/9/75 and 6/11/75, back stamped by the photographer. The photographs are of the new escalator tower #2 which shows the progress made in a two month span. Part of the new look at the old stadium were the towers which housed escalators attached to “The House That Ruth Built”. The original concrete walls of Yankee Stadium built in 1923 were opened up during this time of the renovation, clearly seen in these photographs. From 1923-1973 the New York Yankees called Yankee Stadium their home and during the renovation, 1974-75 the Yankees played “home” games at Shea Stadium.
