Wilt Chamberlain Historic 1962 Original Snapshot Photograph

This is a rare, original black and white snapshot photograph of the legendary Wilt Chamberlain, shot close-up, seated at courtside from his immortal 1962 record setting season. The 3.5 X 3.5 photograph is dated on the top margin Feb. 62 and on the bottom margin, inscribed in light red pen, “Wilt Chamberlain 7’ 2”, referring to his height which gave way to a nickname that Chamberlain himself disfavored, “Wilt the Stilt.” Chamberlain set several records in 1962 that will likely never be broken; averaging more than 50 points per game, breaking the 4000-point barrier and incredibly scoring 100 points during a game played in Hershey, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1962. Candid photographs such as this one, taken courtside simply do not turn up very often; especially a photograph of such historic significance. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
