Promoted as “The Showdown,” this is an original closed circuit poster to the September 16, 1981 fight to unify the World Welterweight Championship Title between Thomas Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard which took place at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. The 14 X 24 poster which is printed on light cardboard depicts their artistically represented images posed in a stare down. This was the first of two fights between these two Champions which ended when the referee stopped the fight scoring a fourteenth round knock-out win for Leonard.
