The Happenings 1968 Performance Contract Signed by David Libert

This is an original performance contract from the popular sixties pop group The Happenings, whose songs "See You in September," and "I Got Rhythm," charted on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles list for many weeks and earned the group two gold records.  The agreement specifies their appearance at Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1968 and is signed by member David Libert and the local booking manager and stamped by a representative of the William Morris Agency (Artist's Agent) upon whose letterhead the agreement is drafted. The agreement consists of four pages with Libert's name signed on the first, main page of the agreement and his initials appearing twice elsewhere, in blue ballpoint pen. Libert was a founding member of The Happenings in 1965 but left the group in 1970 to pursue other musical interests including managing George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic, and Vanilla Fudge. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
