Roger Clemens vs. Mike Piazza Signed 2000 World Series Game 2 Ticket Display

Pitching great Roger Clemens has signed this full ticket stub from Game 2 of the 2000 World Series between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets at Yankee Stadium, in silver ink. This was a much anticipated game because of an incident earlier in the season between Clemens and Mets catcher and hitting phenom, Mike Piazza. During the season, Clemens delivered a pitch that hit Mets catcher Piazza causing a concussion. When pitching to Piazza during his first at bat during this game, Clemens shattered the bat Piazza swung. When a sharp piece of the bat headed his way, Clemens rushed off the mound and threw the bat towards the sideline, almost hitting the running Piazza. In the ensuing controversy, Clemens said he did not see Piazza running. Clemens threw a beautiful two hit shutout game for eight innings during Game 2, striking out nine and walking none and earning the Yankees a 6-5 victory. The Yankees went on to win the 2000 "Subway Series" (the first Subway Series since 1956), 4 games to 1. This ticket is the first item from this exciting WS Game that we have seen signed by Clemens. This display also features a Roger Clemens 1985 rookie "Fleer" baseball card of Clemens on the Boston Red Sox and attached plaques that read, "GAME 2", "ROGER CLEMENS", "SUBWAY SERIES 2000" and a 3-d "2000". Measures 12 x 15. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
