This is an exceptional and extremely rare on-site fight poster for the fight between young Cassius Clay vs. George Logan taking place at the Pittsburgh Sports Arena on April 23, 1962. This was only the 13th professional fight in Clay’s brilliant early career since winning the 1960 Olympic Gold Medal just 18 months earlier. The 21.5 X 27.25 poster pictures both fighters and highlights Clay as the “Undefeated 1960 Olympic Games Winner,” with the prediction of former Heavyweight Champion, “Jack Dempsey Predicts Title For Him.” Three other 10 round fights appear as the undercard heralded by legendary heavyweight champion Joe Louis who is pictured as the promoter presenting these bouts. Clay dispatched Logan in the 4th round of the scheduled 10 round contest by a TKO for his 13th straight victory. All early Clay fight posters are considered extremely rare and desirable with this example being the first that we have ever seen from this early Clay fight contest. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
