Original Vintage c.1970s Masters Tournament (Augusta) Bar Sign (19 X 12)

This rare artifact dates from a 1970’s Masters Tournament played at the famed Augusta National Golf Club. There is no more favorite spot than a view of the 18th green on finals day at the Masters except perhaps the lone bar erected each year between the merchandise tent and the first tee. This is an original vintage sign from the renowned watering hole from a 1970’s Masters Tournament that once belonged to the longtime secretary of Clifford Roberts, who with legendary golfer Bobby Jones, co-founded Augusta and the Masters Tournament and who served as Chairman of both for 45 years. The painted wooden sign measuring 19.25 X 12 is lettered in The Masters legendary “green” color with the somber news for all to read, patrons and professional golfers alike, “THIS BAR WILL CLOSE 45 MIN. AFTER PLAY IS OVER.” Golfing memorabilia such as this from the world’s most famous golf tournament are deemed priceless by many collectors. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
