New York City Basketball Hall of Fame Display Signed by 5 Famous Inductees

This is an interesting autographed display that that is signed by five famous New York City Basketball Hall of Fame inductees that pays tribute to New York City and epitomize the sport as played by countless kids on the streets and playgrounds throughout the City. The 16 X 12 display is signed on the matte surrounding a picture of “street” basketball being played. Signors include: Hall of Famer Connie Hawkins. Hawkins was a New York City playground legend where he earned his nickname “The Hawk.” He played in both the ABA and NBA; Sidney “Sonny” Hertzberg who was a teammate of longtime Knicks Coach Red Holzman while playing for City College of NY. He became a member of the original 1946/47 New York Knickerbockers and their leading scorer in their first home game ever played in 1946 and later became a leading scorer of the Boston Celtics (1949/50); Basketball Hall of Fame member abd former WNBA Coach and player Nancy Lieberman-Cline who earned the nickname “Little Magic” and is regarded as one of the greatest figures in women’s basketball; NYU standout Tom “Satch” Sanders who later played 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics and winning eight World Championships with them. In 2011 Sanders was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor; and Hall of Fame legendary basketball Coach Lou Carnesecca whose long career coaching St. John’s University (1965-1992) was briefly interrupted when he coached the NY Nets of the ABA for three seasons.
