Morrissey Signed & Inscribed “Suedehead” Record JSA

Morrissey signed and inscribed this record cover of his 1988 debut solo single “Suedehead” using a black ballpoint pen. The inscription reads, “best wishes/ to peter/ Morrissey/ xxx”. Morrissey came to prominence as the lead singer and frontman for the British rock band The Smiths. Releasing four albums over five years, The Smiths are considered the most important band to come out of the British independent scene and created waves in punk indie rock, Britpop, and post-punk. In 1988 Morrissey had already established himself as one of the most alluring and polarizing figures in British music and decided to embark on a solo career following the split of The Smiths. Love him or hate him, Morrissey is one of the most important figures in rock and roll and in 2006 was listed as the second greatest British cultural-icon in a BBC Culture Show poll. Very Good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have It! Certificate of Authenticity.
