New York Yankees icon Mickey Mantle has signed this awesome two-page pictorial from the April 30, 1956 issue of Sports Illustrated Magazine titled “Casey’s Two Platoons,” picturing Mantle’s powerful swings batting from either side of home plate “Against Lefties,” and “Against Righties,” where he “…leads Yankee attack…was easily most exciting player in big leagues during opening week.” Mantle would go on to enjoy the best season of his career in 1956, being honored with winning the Most Valuable Player Award and becoming the only switch-hitter to ever win the Triple Crown Award, for his feat in leading the American League in homeruns, batting average and in runs batted in (RBI’s).
