Mickey Mantle Day Baseball & Signature Display

This is an attractive Mickey Mantle signed display that consists of a bold signature of the Yankees legend mounted onto the base of a custom baseball holder that houses an Official game baseball from Mickey Mantle Day on August 25, 1996. This is one of only a few of these displays that were ever produced. This was the very first time in major league history that a deceased Hall of Fame player has had his name and number placed on a baseball used in play. Laced in black in tribute to this Yankee legend, the baseball displays a special design with Mantle's uniform number "7" and facsimile signature, set against Yankee pinstripes. To further honor Mantle on this date, the Yankees replaced the plaque awarded to Mantle on his Day in 1969 that featured his retired uniform number "7" with the unveiling of Mantle's monument on the hallowed Stadium grounds of Monument Park. The pairing of this special baseball with his striking signature provides an unmatched display of Mickey Mantle’s very desirable signature. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item
