Mel Allen “Voice of the New York Yankees” Signed photograph

Famous sportscaster Mel Allen has signed this 10 x 8 original photograph in blue ballpoint pen. Long recognized as the “Voice of the New York Yankees” from the 1940’s through the 1960’s as their primary play-by-play announcer, his voice was known to millions. Allen is seen here in a familiar setting, announcing a Yankee game at the edge of the TV booth overlooking the fans and infield of Yankee Stadium. Two years after his death, the Yankees honored him with the dedication of a plaque in his memory in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium.
