Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) Handwritten Signed Letter to High School Sweetheart With Content (1969)

This is a two-page handwritten letter written by Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) to his high school sweetheart Yvonne. In his letter written in 1969 and dated “Wed. 12 Feb.” from New York City Anderson expresses his regrets in not writing sooner. Anderson further writes of his travel through the USA “…we are being quite successful over here,” and adds that in his home country England “Our single got to 22…and we actually did “Top of the Pops” (a hugely popular television show of the era) but they refused to show the film because we were going to the States and that meant we would be unable to appear on the programme in the forthcoming weeks.” Anderson concludes his letter, signing “lots of love, Ian.” This rare insightful letter is framed with a 9 X 7.5 signed color photograph shown playing a flute. Anderson is best known as an exceptional flutist, multi-instrumentalist, and lead singer for the progressive rock band Jethro Tull. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
