2006 Herb Brooks Hockey Hall Of Fame Induction Ring
|This is Herb Brooks’ 2006 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ring. The ring was presented to Brooks' family at his 2006 induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Measuring just over 10-1/4 in size, the 10K gold ring has a hockey player logo in the center with a diamond as the puck, surrounded by "Hockey Hall of Fame Member (and two additional genuine diamonds in the lettering)." One shank features "H. Brooks," the HOF logo and the date "2006." The opposite shank includes the text "Hockey Hall of Fame, Est. 1943" with an image of the HOF building. Elected in 2006 to the Hockey Hall of Fame in the "Builder" category, Herb Brooks is remembered for far more than simply his part in the 1980 Miracle on Ice. After winning a championship in high school in the crowded and competitive state of Minnesota, Brooks went on to play for the University of Minnesota, followed by several years in the 1960's on the U.S. National and Olympic teams. Three NCAA championships were won under his coaching at Minnesota, followed by his hand at the helm of the 1980 Olympic team. At this point, Brooks took to the NHL, coaching for the Rangers, North Stars, Devils and Penguins. He also coached the French Olympic team in 1998 and Team USA again in 2002. Comes with a letter of provenance from the Brooks family. Also comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
