1998 New York Yankees Line-Up Card Jeter Career Best vs. Twins

This is an original dugout line-up card from an eventful game played between the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome on May 16, 1998 that witnessed Derek Jeter’s personal career best against the Twins. This was Jeter’s only four-hit game against the Twins during his career. Not only did he have four hits, he was involved in all five runs for the Yankees in the 5-2 win: he drove in two-runs with a sixth-inning single and scored the other three runs in the first, third and fifth innings. The 8.5 X 14 card is filled out with the line-ups for both the Yankees and the Twins in blue pen with notations made for pitching and other changes. Featured Yankees players besides Jeter include Paul O’Neill, Tino Martinez, Bernie Williams, Daryl Strawberry, and Jorge Posada. This was only Jeter’s third full season in the majors. Jeter continued to establish personal and team milestones, surpassing Mickey Mantle as playing in the most games wearing a Yankees uniform in 2012. One year earlier Jeter became the first Yankee player to hit 3,000 hits in his career. Jeter's hard style of play and team spirit has endeared him to countless fans and has earned him All-Star status, Gold Glove Awards and 5 World Series rings.
