This is a fabulous original panoramic photograph from the January 20, 1953 inauguration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. This original black and white panorama measures an impressive 58 X 11 framed and pictures portraits of Eisenhower and his Vice President, Richard M. Nixon on either side of the central image of the huge crowd (estimated at over 750,000 people) that attended this historic inauguration. During World War II Eisenhower served as a five-star general in the U.S. Army and Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe. This was the commencement of the first four-year term of Dwight D. Eisenhower as the 34th President of the United States and the only general to serve as President in the 20th century.
