This is a rare 1953 concert program to see the joint performance of “The King of Swing,” Benny Goodman and “The Ambassador of Jazz,” Louis Armstrong, together on stage. Goodman who put his first band together in the 1930’s is credited with the birth of the swing era, while Armstrong who began his career in the roaring twenties is considered one of the most influential figures in all of jazz. The multi-page program features many pictures and stories throughout and features a two-page performance outline in the center. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
