1800’s Composer Cabinet Card Lot of 5 Including Schubert

This is a group of five vintage cabinet cards dating from the late 1800’s, each depicting an artist’s portrait of one of history’s most iconic composers. Each card measures approximately 4.125 X 6.25 with slight variation with two identified in facsimile signature and three pencil inscribed with the composer’s year of birth and death. This group includes: Franz Schubert who died in 1828 at less than 32 years of age but whose large body of work ranks him as one of the greatest composers of the early Romantic period. Ignaz Moscheles who composed and played piano and in his later years succeeded his pupil Felix Mendelssohn as the head of the Conservatoire, Germany. French operatic composers Ferdinand Herold and Francois Adrien Boieldieu (often referred to as the French Mozart) and Italian opera composer Vincenzo Bellini. Comes with a certificate that unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of this item.
